When you saw the title of this post, for a moment, you might wonder which fashion blogger am i going to talk about this time. Yes she earns her living through fashion, but no, she is not any blogger in this area. In fact, she is a fashion illustrator. I came across her works recently and i was pretty stunned by her drawing talent. I am someone that has (almost like) zero arty-farty genes in me. And to ask me to do a simple 3D, its already pretty tough for me. So i salute her for her talent that God has placed in her.
A little about her (adopted from Birdy & Me):
Her work has been published in the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The Hub, Russh, Flare, NET-A-PORTER magazine, TASCHEN’s ‘Illustration Now! FASHION’ and most recently in her own illustrated book series with Laurence King Publishers titled ‘Sticker Fashionista.’
Taking inspiration from fashion, film and fairytales, Kelly’s fine detailed pencil work captures a likeness to her subjects, while watercolor and digital elements add subtle hints of color and softness.
Client List:
- Valentino
- Armani
- Jenny Packham
- H&M
- Harper’s Bazaar
- Net-A-Porter
- VOGUE (AUS)
- Samantha Wills”
(Top) I was first mesmerized by this drawing of hers and then decided to look for more of her works.
This has become my phone’s homescreen.
I love the way she draws the models and the emotions behind those faces. Wow.
Simply wowed.
I wish i have such a talent.
Love this a lot. Elegance and classiness fully illustrated.
